William Abbott is Connecticut’s State Fire Marshal. The OSFM oversees and promotes codes, standards, and regulations to reduce fires and related dangers.

Exemptions, modifications, and waivers

OSFM and the OSBI are glad to review all SBC and State Fire Safety Code modification requests. We also review codes and regulations for elevators and boilers, etc.
