Are you looking for information about the state of Connecticut’s Building Code (SCBC)? Learn more about the SCBC and the Office of the State Building Inspector (OSBI).

William Abbott is Connecticut’s State Fire Marshal. The OSFM oversees and promotes codes, standards, and regulations to reduce fires and related dangers.

OSFM and the OSBI are glad to review all SBC and State Fire Safety Code modification requests. We also review codes and regulations for elevators and boilers, etc.
