DAS Construction Services - Summary of Hazardous Materials Inspection and Abatement Services
Application Process
Client Agencies seeking to utilize this program or program funding must submit a completed 1165 Form to DAS Construction Services (DAS/CS) at das.technical.review@ct.gov
Completed 1165 requests must include all required documentation as determined by the type and cost of the proposed activity(ies).
Contract 19PSX0120 - Environmental Consultant Services (testing, monitoring, inspection, lab services, planning, etc):
- For consulting services costing less than $10,000 the client agency shall provide a detailed cost estimate and work plan from at least one consultant approved to provide such services under this contract; and
- For consulting services costing more than $10,000 the client agency shall request a detailed cost estimate and work plan from all four of the consultants under this contract and shall provide a minimum of (a) two cost estimates and (b) verification that it requested proposals from the remaining consultants.
Contract 20PSX0154 - Abatement Contracting Services:
- For projects where the total construction costs of the project are less than $500,000, the client agency shall request a scope of work plan, schedule and cost proposal from all seven of the contractors approved to provide such services and shall provide a minimum of (a) three cost-estimates, and (b) verification that it requested proposals from the remaining contractors.
Projects with total construction costs in excess of $500,000 generally require the submission of a Form 1105– Capital Project Initiation Request, and with limited exceptions, must use project funds for costs associated with Hazardous Material Inspection and Abatement.
