State Surplus Property Auctions for State Agencies to Scrap (All Items)

Overview

The Department of Administrative Services State Surplus Property Program is the legally authorized agent in the State for the disposition of all property that a state agency deems as no longer needed, either being surplus or scrap.

State Agencies are responsible for working with the State Surplus Property Program to identify any property they deem scrap (broken, unusable, hazardous, health and safety risk, etc.).  The State Surplus Property Program will provide disposition guidance.  The surplus property will be deemed as scrap (if it has no useful life or resale value), and will have a specific scrap category associated with it (ex: metal, electronics recycling, donation, etc.)

The Surplus Property Program staff will guide your agency if any questions about the process arise.
