School Safety Infrastructure Council Final Report
Recognizing the need for an “all hazards” emergency preparedness and response capability, and driven by the threat of school violence in Connecticut schools and particularly by the December 14, 2012 Newtown shootings, Connecticut state government has re-evaluated its role as a partner in ensuring the safety and security of the state’s local educational facilities.

School Safety Infrastructure December 2021 Report
The Office of School Construction Grants and Review applies the School Safety Infrastructure Criteria, created by the School Safety Infrastructure Council.

State of Connecticut School Construction Grant Program Audit
DAS retained an outside firm, Marcum LLP, to review school construction audits performed from January 2018 through December 2021. The report assesses the school project audits’ compliance with the DAS established Audit Program and Compliance Checklist. DAS has adopted all recommendations outlined in the report and is committed to maintaining efficiency, consistency, and transparency for all of its programs.

Summary Report of the School Facilities Survey 2021
The School Facilities Survey captures information that Local Education Agencies are required to submit to DAS or the at various intervals required in C.G.S.,Section 10-220, with the most recent statutory date being July 1, 2021.

Whiting Forensic Hospital Physician Salary Review
Public Act No. 22-45, directs DMHAS, in collaboration with DAS, to evaluate the state service classifications for physicians and senior level clinicians to determine if they are in the appropriate compensation plans needed to attract and retain employees.
