Overview

DAS Leasing and Property Transfer conducts real estate transactions on behalf of the State of Connecticut. DAS provides these services to most state agencies and the judicial branch, with some exceptions such as the Connecticut Department of Labor, Connecticut Department of Transportation and UCONN. DAS may, at times, lease state-owned land, buildings and facilities to municipalities for municipal use, or to private individuals when such land, buildings and facilities are otherwise not used or needed for state use and such action seems desirable to produce income or is otherwise in the public interest.  As of June 30, 2023, DAS manages 75 leases for State-owned properties.
