DAS administers the operations, maintenance and security of state-owned buildings located throughout the Hartford Area and major cities in the state including Meriden, Mystic, New Britain and Waterbury. Overall, DAS administers approximately 10 percent of all executive branch state buildings, which totals approximately 6.7 million square feet of state-owned floor space in occupied and vacant state buildings.

Renting a DAS Facility

Use of DAS Facilities for purposes other than for conducting state business are subject limitations on the time, place and manner of use. Permission is required for all individuals and entities desiring the use of any DAS facility for a non-state business purpose.

The process for requesting such permission is described in the Policy, Procedures and Rules Relating to the Use of State Facilities for Non-State Business Purposes document. Requests for use of DAS Facilities should be submitted at least 20 days in advance of the date desired and will be approved on a first come, first served basis.
