Overview

The Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Payment Service was created for the benefit of State Agencies that need to develop an application which has the ability to process credit card transactions. This web service was initiated in an effort to deter duplication of effort of multiple agencies developing similar functionality and allows us to maintain and/or modify the code in a central location. The architecture has been designed to prohibit unauthorized use of web payment services and deter application intrusion (hacking).
