Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Holds Bill Signing Ceremony for Legislation Establishing Sandy Hook Workers Fund
On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join with Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and members of the Connecticut General Assembly, including Senate President Donald E. Williams, Jr., Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey, Senate Majority Leader Martin Looney, Senate Minority Leader John McKinney, and House Minority Leader Larry Cafero, for a bill signing ceremony to commemorate passage of legislation (H.B. 6599) that creates a special fund to assist individuals who suffered psychological trauma as a result of their work related to the Sandy Hook tragedy.

Gov. Malloy: New Web Service Marks Significant First Step in Modernizing State's Social Services Department
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the launch of a new, user-friendly web-based service for the state's Department of Social Services (DSS) that gives the agency's 750,000 clients the ability to check on the status of their benefits online and provides members of the general public with a pre-screening tool to learn about which services they may be eligible for.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Awarded $2.8 Million in Federal Transit Administration Relief Funds for Hurricane Sandy

Malloy and Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner James Redeker announced today that the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has approved Connecticut's request for $2.8 million in relief funds to offset the costs of Hurricane Sandy preparation and response efforts.
