THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT RETAILERS CONFERENCE; HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAMS; ATTENDS BOYS & GIRLS CLUB AWARDS

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the International Council of Shopping Centers' 2013 New England Retail Connection Conference in Hartford.

Later, in recognition of National School Breakfast Week, Governor Malloy and End Hunger Connecticut will hold a news conference at Macdonough School in Middletown to discuss improving Connecticut's participation in the national school breakfast program. For the last eight consecutive years, Connecticut has ranked last in the nation for the number of schools offering the school breakfast program, and the Governor is encouraging more schools to participate.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will participate in the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford's 2013 City Chic awards ceremony.
