Gov. Malloy: $7.49 Million in Federal Tax Credits Awarded to Seven Affordable Housing Developments
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) voted to award $7.49 million in nine percent federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) to seven affordable housing developers in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, Simsbury, and Waterbury.

Gov. Malloy: Norwalk Energy Efficiency Project Will Bring Down Costs, Make State More Competitive
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Commissioner Daniel C. Esty, State Senator Bob Duff (D-Norwalk), and other state and local officials today announced the State of Connecticut's first energy efficiency project financed through the Commercial & Industrial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program, a new and innovative tool that allows property owners to finance efficiency upgrades with little or no upfront costs and re-pay the loan over time on their property tax bill.

Muchnick Jr., 23, who was killed in a training accident in Nevada. Lance Corporal Muchnick will be buried in Massachusetts on Friday.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today tapped former State Senator Edith Prague of Columbia to serve as the Commissioner of the newly-formed State Department on Aging (SDA). SDA will ensure that Connecticut's elderly population has access to the supportive services necessary to live with dignity, security, and independence, and is responsible for administering a variety of federally-funded programs under the Older American's Act.
