THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN MAYORS AGAINST ILLEGAL GUNS EVENT; GIVES OATH OF OFFICE TO JUSTICE ESPINOSA; ANNOUNCES MAJOR NOMINATION; KEYNOTES ENERGY CONFERENCE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra at a rally in support of Mayors Against Illegal Guns day of action, a nationwide effort to urge Congress to vote in favor of gun violence prevention legislation.

Later, Governor Malloy will give the oath of office to the Honorable Carmen E. Espinosa, who will become the first Latino justice to sit on the Connecticut Supreme Court.

At noon, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference at the State Capitol to announce a major nomination.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the Connecticut Green Building Council's Energy and Infrastructure Solutions Conference in New Canaan.
