Malloy today joined state officials, lawmakers and environmental advocates for a ceremony at Farm River State Park in East Haven to commemorate the passage of a new state law that enacts a three-year moratorium on the handling of waste from hydraulic fracturing in Connecticut while its environmental impact is further researched.

On Friday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference at Mickey Finn’s – a clothing retailer located in Berlin – to remind residents about the state’s upcoming “Sales Tax-Free Week” when most items of clothing and footwear selling for less than $300 will be exempt from the state sales and use tax.
