GOV. MALLOY DIRECTS FLAGS TO FULL-STAFF AT SUNSET ON MONDAY
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy is directing flags in Connecticut to return to full-staff at sunset on Monday, August 18, 2014. Flags have been flying at half-staff in honor of Staff Sgt. Ronald Patterson Jr. of Bridgeport, who was killed on Friday, August 8, in a motor vehicle accident while on a routine transport of training material.
Staff Sgt. Patterson was a member of A Company, 192nd Engineer Battalion of the Connecticut Army National Guard, which is based out of Stratford. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and received numerous awards and decorations for his service.
