GOV. MALLOY'S SANDY HOOK ADVISORY COMMISSION TO MEET FRIDAY

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy's Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is next scheduled to meet on Friday, August 15 , at 10:00 a.m. in hearing room 1A of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

The commission will begin their meeting with a presentation from Tom Kuroski, President of the Newtown Federation of Teachers. Following that, they will hear from Vincent Riccio, owner of Security Academy of Connecticut, a business that specializes in active shooter prevention training and security consulting for schools, businesses and government entities.

The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is Governor Malloy's 16-member panel of experts tasked with reviewing current policies and making specific recommendations in the areas of public safety, with particular attention paid to school safety, mental health, and gun violence prevention.
