Gov. Malloy Names Members of Sandy Hook Advisory Commission
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the names of 16 members of the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, an expert panel the Governor announced on Thursday that will review current policy and make specific recommendations in the areas of public safety, with particular attention paid to school safety, mental health, and gun violence prevention.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced a $500,000 Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grant to Newtown to assist the local businesses that incurred economic losses in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Gov. Malloy Announces Small Town Assistance Program Grants for Andover, Berlin, East Haddam, East Hampton, Fairfield, Lyme, Somers, and Suffield
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grants to ten Connecticut towns engaged in capital improvement projects. Andover, Berlin, East Haddam, East Hampton, Fairfield, Lyme, Somers, and Suffield are working on upgrades that will harden infrastructure, revitalize public spaces, and create jobs.
