Gov. Malloy Nominates Judge Christine Keller to Appellate Court, Names 15 Others to Superior Court
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he is nominating the Honorable Christine E. Keller of Hartford to serve as a judge on the Connecticut Appellate Court. In addition, he is nominating 15 other Connecticut attorneys to become judges of the Superior Court.

Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Department of Labor, led by Commissioner Sharon Palmer, and the Department of Economic and Community Development, led by Commissioner Catherine Smith, will study the factors that contribute to the gender wage gap in Connecticut's workforce and make recommendations for actions that will eliminate that inequity.

Gov. Malloy: Severe Cold Weather Impacting the State
With bitter winter cold temperatures expected over the next several days, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today directed the Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS), the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to coordinate with 2-1-1 and Connecticut's network of shelters to ensure that the state's most vulnerable people are protected.

Gov. Malloy: Sandy Hook Advisory Commission to Hold First Meeting, Hear Presentations from Key Experts
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission, chaired by Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson, will hold its first meeting on Thursday, January 24, during which they will receive information on the status of the Sandy Hook Elementary School investigation and then will hear presentations from experts who were directly involved in the aftermath of the Columbine and Virginia Tech tragedies.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statements in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion and guaranteed that the 14th amendment right to privacy is extended to a woman’s control of her reproductive health care.
