MONDAY: GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES CREATION OF A DISASTER ASSISTANCE & RECOVERY FUND

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, and Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Deputy Commissioner William P. Shea will hold a news conference in East Haven to announce legislation the Governor is introducing that will improve the state's ability to assist residents who have been impacted by a natural disaster or other emergency.

Following the news conference, Governor Malloy, Lt. Governor Wyman and Deputy Commissioner Shea will visit an area of Old Saybrook that was heavily damaged by Storm Sandy, where they will discuss the Governor's disaster relief legislation with Old Saybrook First Selectman Carl Fortuna and other local officials.
