Gov. Malloy and Secretary Duncan Announce Approval of No Child Left Behind Waiver
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan today announced that Connecticut's application for a waiver from certain mandates imposed by the 2001 No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act has been approved. The waiver, which grants states greater flexibility for implementing school reforms, comes just weeks after Governor Malloy and legislative leaders reached an agreement to begin fixing what's broken in Connecticut's public schools.

Gov. Malloy: Small Business Express Program is Helping Connecticut Companies Grow

Malloy today announced that five Connecticut small businesses in Avon, Old Greenwich, Waterbury, West Hartford, and Woodbury have qualified for assistance through the state's Small Business Express Program (EXP). Gov. Malloy: Busway Initiative Brings Jobs, Economic Development to Connecticut
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and top federal, state and local officials today held a ceremonial groundbreaking for Connecticut’s first rapid transit system, CTfastrak, in Hartford. Known informally during the planning stages as the New Britain-Hartford Busway, the project will include 11 stations in New Britain, Newington, West Hartford and Hartford with buses running every three to six minutes during peak commuting hours.
