Malloy today announced that 31 Connecticut towns have been awarded a total of $10,987,840 by the Department of Economic and Community Development, the administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Small Cities Community Development Block Grant program. The Small Cities Program funds economic development, affordable housing, and other community revitalization projects.

• 9/13/2012 Gov. Malloy: Frito-Lay to Expand in Killingly

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the state will assist Frito-Lay North America Inc., a division of PepsiCo, with an expansion of its distribution and manufacturing plant in Killingly. The plant, which employs more than 600 full-time employees, services Connecticut and other Northeast retailers, and exports products for the military overseas.
