Gov. Malloy: "Go Back to Get Ahead" Program Will Increase College Completion Rates
In a drive to give “lapsed” college students the opportunity to get their college education back on track, and to develop a better educated workforce and more competitive state economy, Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced that the Board of Regents for Higher Education today launched the Go Back to Get Ahead program, offering in-state residents who have started, but not completed a degree, free college courses when they re-enroll.

On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference at Manchester Community College (MCC), where he will announce the official launch of “Go Back to Get Ahead” – a new initiative included in the recently signed state budget that will help Connecticut residents who have left college without earning a degree with the associated tuition costs of returning to school and encouraging them to complete their higher education goals.

Gov. Malloy Signs Law Adding Text Messages to the "Do Not Call" Registry
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has signed into law a bill that will reduce unwanted, unsolicited commercial phone intrusions by modernizing the state’s “Do Not Call” registry to include text messages in addition to the already prohibited phone calls.
