Call for Projects for SFY 2021
The DPH has announced the Call for Projects for SFY 2021 (July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021). Eligibility Applications are now being accepted for projects that are expected to be funded during this time period. For more information, please read the Call for Projects notice below. All applications must be submitted electronically to DPH.CTDWSRF@ct.gov no later than March 31, 2020 in order to be considered for inclusion on the SFY 2021 Project Priority List.

The Drinking Water Section has finalized the draft State Fiscal Year 2020 Intended Use Plan (IUP) for the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Program. The Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program provides long-term below market rate loans to community and non-profit, non-community public water systems (PWSs) to finance infrastructure improvement projects. Examples include storage tanks, treatment works, and water mains. Loans have interest rates at approximately half the market rate and repayment terms can be up to 20 years.
Certain projects may qualify for Federal or State subsidization as detailed annually in the IUP. Any available state subsidy funding is provided through the Public Water System Improvement Program.
The program supports and recognizes strong infrastructure sustainability programs that emphasize prevention as a tool for ensuring long term safe and affordable drinking water to Connecticut’s residents. The program also places an emphasis on providing loans to small water systems and communities most in need. PWSs which serve fewer than 10,000 persons are strongly encouraged to apply.

Electronic Submittal of Documents
