  On Tuesday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold three media briefings at the state Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Hartford to provide updates on Connecticut's response to Hurricane Sandy -- the first at 8:30 a.m., followed by another at noon, and then a third at 6:00 p.m.

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today ordered road closures for all state highways. The closures will be implemented in two phases. At 11:00 A.M., trucks will be prohibited from operating on limited access highways. At 1:00 P.M., state highways will be closed to all non-emergency related vehicles.

Malloy on Sunday evening signed an executive order extending the in-person voter registration deadline in Connecticut to Thursday, November 1, at 8 p.m. for those who intend to vote in the upcoming election. The deadline had originally been scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, at 8 p.m.
