Tuesday: Governor Malloy Participates in Reading of Declaration of Independence
On Tuesday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join state leaders and other Connecticut residents to participate in a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Old State House in Hartford, where an original 1776 copy of the Declaration will be on public display throughout the day.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Hosts Business Matchmaker Event
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced a partnership between state and federal agencies designed to match qualified Connecticut small businesses with federal and state prime contractors to increase business opportunities. On June 23 at the University of Hartford, Connecticut small businesses will have an opportunity to meet with prime government contractors and federal and state contracting agencies.

Saturday: Governor Malloy Attends East Coast Greenway Trail Council and Board Meeting in Simsbury
On Saturday, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be a guest speaker during the afternoon session of the East Coast Greenway Trail Council and Board meeting in Simsbury. Governor Malloy has been a proponent of the Greenway since he was Mayor of Stamford, advocating for the completion of Connecticut’s 196-mile portion of the 3,000-mile trail, which when complete will extend the length of the East Coast from Canada to Florida.

Governor Malloy on Navy Announcement of $1.2 Billion to Electric Boat for Second Submarine Production
Governor Dannel P. Malloy this evening released the following statement in response to the U.S. Navy announcement that it has awarded $1.2 billion for the production of a second submarine by Electric Boat in FY 2011. In February, Governor Malloy sent letters to the Chairs and the Ranking Members of Congress’ Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense urging the full funding of two Virginia Class submarines.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today ordered the Connecticut and U.S. flags to fly at half staff in honor of Major Raymond G. Estelle II, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Gov. Malloy: Bond Commission Approves Funding for Development of Renaissance Place in Naugatuck
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission on Friday approved a grant of $500,000 to assist with architectural and engineering design services for a parking garage at the Renaissance Place development project in Naugatuck.

Thursday: Governor Malloy at Milford Chamber Meeting, Business Tour of Schick, Greater Manchester Chamber Meeting, CT Air National Guard Ceremony, American Institute Graduation
On Thursday at 8:30 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker at a Milford Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Schick Corporation headquarters in Milford. The Governor has been visiting Chambers of Commerce across the state over the past few months, where he has spoken about his efforts to improve the business climate in Connecticut and get our state’s fiscal house in order to help create new jobs and keep the ones we have.

Malloy Administration, Chairman Willis Announce Higher Ed Consolidation Agreement
Mark Ojakian, Deputy Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management and Higher Education Chairman Roberta B. Willis announced an agreement concerning Governor Dannel P. Malloy’s proposal to consolidate the state’s community colleges, the Connecticut State University system and Charter Oak College to flatten administration and direct more money to students and classroom instruction. The deal had been in the works since last week, and details were finalized last night.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced the launch of the new CTvisit.com, the state’s official tourism website, in anticipation of the upcoming peak summer tourism season in Connecticut. The popular website is now an even more informational online travel planning resource, redesigned to better showcase all that Connecticut has to offer and meet evolving consumer expectations.

Gov. Malloy on Decision to Grant Mariano Cardoso a Stay of Removal
Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement after learning that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has granted Mariano Cardoso a temporary stay of removal. Last week, Governor Malloy wrote to immigration officials to request that they defer a deportation order for Cardoso, who is nearing completion of his engineering degree at Capital Community College in Hartford.
