Respiratory Care Practitioner Licensure Temporary Permit

Before applying for licensure, please familiarize yourself with the general licensing policies.

 

Recent graduates of accredited programs, may apply for a temporary permit to practice under the supervision of a Connecticut licensed RCP.  The permit is valid for 120 calendar days from date of application. Temporary permits are not renewable and may not be issued to individuals who have previously failed the NBRC examination or are licensed in another jurisdiction.  Should the applicant fail the examination, the permit becomes void.

 

In order to obtain a temporary permit, an applicant must provide the following documentation:

 

A completed licensure application with photograph attached.  Applications are only accepted online.  Please select this link to apply online.  The application fee is $190.

 

A completed application for temporary permit; and

 

A completed verification of course of form study form submitted directly to this office from the school.

 

Please note that filling out the application form for a temporary permit does not authorize an applicant to begin work as a RCP. Applicants may not work within the RCP scope of practice until a permit is issued by this office.
