Charging Demystified

Connecticut encourages placement of EV chargers in homes, workplaces, and multi-modal transportation hubs. The ideal location for an EV charger is in a safe, well-lit location in close proximity to public areas such as grocery stores or malls.

Connecticut is also evaluating opportunities to support fuel cell electric vehicles and the expansion of the hydrogen refueling station infrastructure.

EV Charging Equipment Vendors on State Contract

DEEP conducted an RFP process resulting in selection of vendors to streamline the public sector's EV charging equipment procurement process. The contract was recently extended and is valid through May 2021. You can find more information on Contract #13PSX0316 on Connecticut's DAS State Contracting portal.
