Prerequisites for Admittance to the Telecommunicator Training Program

Applicants must pass NIMS 100 and NIMS 700 in order to apply for the Telecommunicator training program. Both classes are available free-of charge at NIMS Online Training.

Once on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) website, scroll to links for ICS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System, and IS-700: National Incident Management Systems, An Introduction. Each link will bring you to an introductory page. To begin the training, click on Interactive Web Based Course under Take This Course.
