Governor Malloy Encourages Veterans to Apply for Troops to Teachers Program
In observation of Veterans Day, Governor Dannel P. Malloy is reminding school districts, veterans and their families, and all residents about Connecticut’s Troops to Teachers program, and encouraging service members and veterans to apply.

End Hunger CT! Blitz Kicks Off Summer Hunger Awareness Campaign
New Britain, Conn. (June 21, 2018) – End Hunger Connecticut! (EHC!), joined by Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, the Connecticut Department of Education, and the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut today joined the annual Summer Meals Blitz and Block Party, this year held in New Britain. The event comes in the middle of ‘Summer Meals Blitz Week’, which began in New Haven on June 16, 2018 and brings volunteers and community leaders together to help connect more kids to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Meals Program.
