Easter Seals of Greater Waterbury

For nearly 60 years, Easterseals of Greater Waterbury has been the indispensable resource for people and families facing disability.  We believe that anyone facing a disability can reach their potential and our diverse programs and services support this belief.  Throughout the Greater Waterbury, Central and Northwest CT communities, we strive to provide a broad network of services including school readiness education, early intervention, rehabilitation services, vocational services and audiology services. These services assist children, adults and their families to live, learn, work and play as integral members of the community.  Easterseals is changing the way the world defines and views disabilities by making profound, positive differences in people’s lives every day.

Funds through the Non-Profit Grant Program helped us to upgrade and replace aging HVAC systems at three of our locations located in Waterbury and Meriden and lighting in Meriden as well.

Easterseals provides over 14,000 visits per year in our Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Services, Drivers Assessment and Audiology Departments in Meriden.  No significant renovations had occurred at this location in decades. Grant funding allowed us to provide a reliable and consistently comfortable environment for our patient and their families.  The new HVAC system as well as LED Lighting in our waiting area and Rehab Gym has made a huge difference.

In our two Waterbury locations we provide a School Readiness Program for  three-five year olds, Audiology Services, and Vocational and Day Programming for Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled individuals.  Administrative offices are also located in one of the Waterbury locations.  Again grant funding allowed us to provide a reliable and consistently comfortable environment for those we serve, their families and visiting community members.
