Trooper's Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Narcotic Arrest
Today, 4/29/2011, shortly after 9:30 a.m. Trooper Matthew Funchion was on routine patrol on I-95 in Stamford when he observed the operator of the suspect vehicle commit a motor vehicle violation.  Trooper Funchion stopped the violator on I-95 northbound near exit 9 in Stamford. 
During the investigation of the stopped vehicle a search of the vehicle was conducted.  Trooper Funchion searched the vehicle and located and seized 920 narcotic pills and cash.  The two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.  Both accused were transported to Troop G in Bridgeport where they were processed and held on bond.
