STATE POLICE STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

MAKES ARRESTS, SEIZES PILLS, MONEY

   On November 3, 2011, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Northwest Office of the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant and two arrest warrants at 160 Mount Pleasant Road, Trailer #9, in Newtown.

   These warrants were the culmination of a lengthy investigation into the illegal sale of prescription narcotics, namely oxycontin, in the Newtown area.  Arrested were ERIC CHANNEY, DOB 3-5-1962, who was charged on a warrant with Sale of Narcotics and Conspiracy to Sale of Narcotics.  HARRIET CHANNEY, DOB 10-6-1962, was also charged on a warrant with Sale of Narcotics and Conspiracy to Sale of Narcotics. 

   Seized during the execution of the search warrant from the CHANNEY residence was over one thousand (1,000) oxycontin tablets, approximately five hundred (500) xanax, one hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) in cash and assorted drug records.   More arrests are expected.
