State Police Make Fraud/Larceny Arrest

On 3/25/10 the State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad at Troop E in Montville initiated a criminal investigation into a fraud and larceny incident which occurred in the town of Montville.

Detectives gathered facts and circumstances in this case, and victims and witnesses were able to provide specific details regarding this incident.  Through the course of this investigation detectives determined the accused misappropriated over $40,000 in cash from an elderly female victim’s savings account.

As a result of their investigation, detectives submitted arrest warrant applications to the New London Superior Court. The court issued the warrant for both accused.

On 1/26/11 at approximately 9:30 a.m. the accused turned themselves in at State Police Troop E. Both accused were processed, released on a $50,000 bond.  Both accused are to appear in New London Superior Court on 02/10/11.
