State Police Make Computer Crimes Arrest

Over a period of several months, Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit Detectives conducted a lengthy online undercover investigation.

During the course of the investigation, Detectives applied for and executed a search and seizure warrant at 131 Oneco St. Norwich, Ct., the home of the accused, Christopher S. Bates. 

State Police Detectives than applied for, and were granted an arrest warrant from G.A. #10 New London, for the arrest of Christopher S. Bates.  Bates turned himself in to State Police Troop E- Montville, where he was arrested and processed.  He was held on a $200,000 bond.

Charges:           Criminal Attempt to Impair the morals of a child

                        Possession of child pornography 2nd degree
