State Police Make Bank Robbery Arrest

Charges:          Robbery 3rd degree, Larceny 3rd degree

On 08/18/10 Connecticut State Police Troop C received a 9-1-1 call for a bank robbery at the Rockville Bank located at 612 Main Street in the town of Somers. Troopers from the Somers Resident Trooper’s office and Troop C responded and secured the scene.  Eastern District Major Crime Detectives responded and conducted the criminal investigation.

State Police Detectives processed the scene and seized physical and forensic evidence.  The evidence was processed at the State Laboratory in Meriden.

As a result of investigative information and evidence State Police Detectives developed a suspect as a result of DNA analysis.  An arrest warrant was submitted to Superior Court for the arrest of the suspect.  An arrest warrant for the accused was issued. 

The accused was located by Troopers in Vernon and taken into custody without incident.  The accused was held on a court set $25,000.00 bond.  He will appear at G.A. 19 Rockville Superior Court on 08/16/11.
