STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN BROOKLYN SEX ASSAULT

On March 21, 2011, at 3:50 p.m., Detectives from the State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad arrested Bryan McCray, age 22, of 5 Wayne Dr., North Windham, at his residence on an outstanding arrest warrant.

The Superior Court –Windham Judicial District issued the arrest warrant for McCray for the crimes of Sexual Assault 1St Degree and Unlawful Restraint 1St Degree regarding the sexual assault of a 17-year-old female at a house party in Brooklyn, Ct. on November 27, 2009.

Detectives located McCray at his residence hiding under a bed. He was taken into custody on the warrant, processed at Troop D and held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond set by the court for arraignment in Danielson Superior Court on March 22, 2011.  

As part of this incident, McCray’s girlfriend, Rachel Messier, age 18, of the same address was arrested for Interfering with Police Officers.  She was processed at Troop D and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond pending court on April 4, 2011. No further arrests are expected.
