On 12-13-11, at 9:15 p.m., a 24 year old female clerk made an emergency call via 9-1-1 from the Ashford Spirit Shoppe located at Routes 44 & 74 in Ashford to report that she had just been robbed at knife point. Troopers responded to the store, secured the robbery scene and initiated a search for the suspect.

Preliminary information determined that the clerk was exiting the store to deposit trash outside the business, when a lone male dressed in dark clothing rushed her at the door forcing her back inside the business while holding a knife to her throat.

State Police Eastern District Major Crime Detectives responded to conduct the criminal investigation into this incident. Detectives developed leads and collected evidence and were able to develop a suspect in this robbery case.

Troopers submitted an arrest warrant to Superior Court for the arrest of the suspect. The arrest warrant was granted out of G.A. 11 in Danielson.
