STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SEXUAL ASSAULT

   On September 23, 2011, during the early evening hours, State Police at Troop A in Southbury received a telephone report from Danbury Hospital Emergency Room reporting that a female was being seen at the emergency room reporting that she had been sexually assaulted at White Turkey Extension Commuter Parking Lot.

   Troopers responded the hospital and interviewed the female victim. The victim reported she drove into the commuter lot at approximately 5:30 p.m. and while she was standing outside of her car looking for a lost wallet, an unknown, unidentified male approached and punched her in the head. The female victim reported that she became unconscious and awaked to find she was being sexually assaulted by this unidentified male.

   The victim reported the incident to an ex-boyfriend who transported her to Danbury Hospital.  

    Troopers and State Police Detectives were assigned to conduct the criminal investigation into this incident. The commuter lot scene was searched for physical and forensic evidence.

   The victim was unable to provide any physical description of a suspect or a suspect vehicle.

   State Police are asking if anyone was in the commuter lot on Friday and observed anything suspicious or anyone suspicious to please contact State Police at 203 267-2200

   This case remains under investigation.
