On 08/11/2011, at 9:45 p.m., State Police at Troop D received a 911 call from the clerks at Dunkin Donuts at 21 Providence Road, in Putnam, CT reporting a robbery had just taken place.

   Troopers responded and located the two clerks on duty who were getting ready to close for the night.  At about 9:40 p.m., a female drove up to the drive thru and placed an order.  She then drove to the window and was handed the drink. In return the female handed the clerk a small package and a handwritten note demanded money. The note also indicated that there was a subject in the back seat of the vehicle threatening harm to the female driver, and a threat to set off a bomb. The clerk fled from the window and called 911.  The suspect vehicle fled from the area.

   The female suspect is described as a white female, about 35 to 40 years old, tan complexion, with brown hair with blonde highlights in a French curl or ponytail, blue eyes, possibly having a bar in the right ear, wearing a scrub type shirt. 

   The suspect vehicle is described as an older, full-sized, SUV 4-door, dark green in color with tinted windows.

   The Connecticut State Police Emergency Services Unit Bomb Squad responded to the scene and determined that the package was not a bomb.  State Police Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad are conducting this criminal investigation.
