   Statewide Narcotics–East Makes Drug Arrest
            State troopers from the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotic Task Force– East Field Office and the Mansfield Resident Troopers office conducted a lengthy investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics, which resulted in the issuance of a search and seizure warrant. 

On April 1, 2010, state troopers from the Statewide Narcotic Task Force - East Field Office, the Mansfield Resident Troopers Office, and Troop C-Tolland executed a search warrant at “The Skeleton’s Closet Novelty Shop”, in Mansfield. 

Through investigative efforts, information was developed that marijuana and illicit controlled substances were being stored and sold at the business.  The execution of the search warrant resulted in the seizure of the following:

approx. 45 grams of marijuana

approx. 65 units of controlled substances  

numerous items of drug paraphernalia consisting of digital scales, packaging material and other related items

$335.00 cash

The Statewide Narcotic Task Force – East Field Office is comprised of members from the State Police, the New London, Groton Town, Groton City, Putnam and Willimantic Police Departments
