     STATE POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP IN SOLVING WOODBURY LARCENY
          On July 11, 2010, State Troopers from Troop L in Litchfield responded to a complaint of a larceny of cash from the Shell Gas Station in Woodbury.

Upon arrival, the Troopers determined that the incident occurred inside the gas station at approximately 9:37 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010.  Taken from the gas station was $500.00 in cash.  The cash was taken from the cash register behind the counter.

A criminal investigation was initiated and Troopers did locate surveillance video footage and other investigative information in this case.  Witnesses were able to provide specific details regarding this larceny.

Troopers were able to obtain photos from security surveillance footage of the suspect as he entered the gas station and as he stood in the gas station at the counter. 

The suspect is described as a heavy set white male, approximately 6'00” tall, with gray and black hair, a short beard and mustache of the same color.  The suspect was last seen wearing a light-colored T-shirt, dark-colored shorts and sandals.  The suspect was wearing a watch with a black band and had a tattoo on his left arm and he also has a band-type tattoo on his right wrist.  See photos of suspect below.

The suspect was last seen driving North on Route 6 in a black Nissan Maxima or similar type vehicle.

The State Police investigation into this theft is continuing. Troopers have developed some details and leads in this case. 

         Troopers are asking anyone who may have seen the suspect or vehicle in the area of the Shell Gas Station, or anyone who may recognize the suspect, the vehicle, or who has information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Connecticut State Police Troop L in Litchfield at (860) 626-7900 or the Woodbury Resident State Troopers Office at (203) 263-3400.  All information will be kept in strictest confidence.
