                     STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN SEXUAL ASSAULT

   On 3/09/2010, Troop B received a complaint from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families regarding allegations of a possible sexual contact and/or risk of injury case. The incident reportedly happened to the young child and occurred prior to the child being in the custody of DCF.

   State Police Investigators initiated a criminal investigation into the allegations.  State Police Detectives developed leads and information in this case.  After an extensive investigation, State Police Major Crime Detectives submitted an arrest warrant application to Superior Court for an arrest warrant for the accused.  The warrant was issued by the court and on 6/18/10, the accused in this case was taken into custody by State Police.

CHARGES:     Sexual Assault, 1st Degree, 53a-70

                   Impairing the morals of a child, 53-21(a)(2).

   The accused is being held on a $265,000.00 bond.  He will be arraigned in Superior Court on Monday, 6/21/10.
