                                STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST

                           IN ABDUCTION OF NORWALK COLLEGE COED

   On 3/9/10, a male abducted a female student from the Norwalk Community College Campus at approximately 7:10 p.m.  The male suspect allegedly lured the female into his light colored SUV after asking for directions and proceeded to drive off campus.

   The female was able to escape by jumping from the moving suspect vehicle as the suspect turned onto Scribner Avenue. The victim was treated at Norwalk Hospital for minor injuries.    

   State Police Major Crime Detectives responded and initiated the criminal investigation into this abduction.  State Police Detectives were assisted by NCC Campus Security and Norwalk P.D. in this case 

   State Police Detectives developed leads and information in this investigation. State Police Detectives established leads that lead them to submit an arrest warrant application to Superior Court in Norwalk for the arrest of the accused in this case.  The accused was located on Austin Street in Stamford and was taken into custody without incident.

   The accused was transported to Troop G in Bridgeport where he was processed and held on $500,000 bond.  The accused will be presented in Norwalk Superior Court on 3/11/10.
