On January 9, 2010 at approximately 0800 hours State Troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on I-84 westbound in the area of exit 46.  The left side of Vehicle #1SCHOOL BUS, and the right side of Vehicle #2 CAR collided.

Vehicle #1SCHOOL BUS went off the roadway to the right, through a metal beam guide rail and down an embankment to final rest.  Vehicle #2 CAR ended up in the left shoulder.All occupants from Vehicle #1SCHOOL BUS were transported to area hospitals with one reported fatality.

This crash was investigated by State Police Accident Investigators. Troopers from the accident reconstruction team also assisted in this investigation. Investigation caused an arrest warrant application to be submitted to Superior Court GA #14 in Hartford.   The warrant was issued by the court for the arrest of the accused.   The accused was advised of the warrant for his arrest

Today 07/20/10 at 8:30 a.m. the accused did surrender to Troopers at Troop H.  He was formally arrested and processed.  The accused was released on $2000 bond to appear GA #14 Hartford on 08/02/10 to answer the charges.
