State Troopers Investigate Untimely Death

On Wednesday 07/28/2010 at approximately 8:00 p.m., State Police Troop A-Southbury received numerous 911 calls reporting that a male had just jumped off a bridge.  Witnesses reported that the male stopped his car on the highway exited the car and jumped from the bridge. Troopers determined that the male subject had jumped off the top level of the mix-master bridge on I-84 on the eastbound side in Waterbury.

Troopers responded to the scene and began a search for the male subject.   State Troopers assisted by Waterbury police officers and fire department and EMS conducted a search of the area below the bridge deck where the male subject was located.  Responding EMS personnel pronounced the male deceased at the scene. The deceased has been identified as: Rowan Green   DOB: 1/22/1980  42 Pine St. Waterbury, Ct. 

Troopers examined the scene, interviewed witnesses and conducted a background investigation and have determined through their investigation that there is no criminal aspect to this incident.

A post mortem examination will be conducted by the Office of the Chief States Medical Examiner to determine the manner and cause of death.
