STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY IN CANTERBURY

On 05/30/2010 at 11:55 PM, State Police received a 911 report at Troop D  from the clerk on duty at the Cumberland Farms Store, 188 Westminster Road, Canterbury.  The clerk reported that the store was robbed by a lone male.

Troopers from Troop D responded to the scene to initiate the investigation and search the area for the suspect.  Additional Troopers secured the crime scene.  Troopers learned that a white male subject, 18 to 25 years old, 5’6” to 5’7” tall, wearing baggie jeans, a black baggy hoodie-type sweatshirt, black bandana pulled over his face, and sneakers entered the store. The subject displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.  The clerk handed an undisclosed amount of cash over to the suspect, who then fled on foot in an easterly direction.

State Police Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene to continue the investigation and process the scene.
