     STATE POLICE RESPOND TO REPORTED DROWNING; VICTIM RECOVERED

On 09-25-10, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police at Troop K received a 911 call reporting a possible drowning that occurred at the Upper Moodus Reservoir, in East Haddam. Troopers, EMS, and Fire Service all responded to the scene.

           

Upon arrival, it was discovered that a male victim had been with several friends on the bank of the reservoir. The victim had gone into the water alone, went under and did not resurface. The victim’s friends made several attempts to locate the male victim but were unsuccessful. The friends continued to search upon arrival of East Haddam fire personnel; the search continued.

The State Police dive team responded to the scene and the victim was recovered by State Police dive team personnel.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner responded to transport the victim for a post mortem examination.  The victim is a New Jersey resident identified as KEVIN IMOR,  DOB: 9/8/65
