STATE POLICE ARREST SUSPECT WITH STOLEN VEHICLE

On March 5, at 3:13 a.m., State Troopers initiated a motor vehicle stop for a vehicle reported stolen from Foxwoods Casino, a 2004 Chevrolet Impala Yellow Taxi Cab, traveling west on Route 2 at exit 9 in Glastonbury.

Troop K had previously attempted to stop this same vehicle and subsequently terminated the pursuit.  The vehicle reportedly continued to travel in a reckless manner at a very high rate of speed. The driver failed to stop for a Trooper.

Troopers were successful in disabling the vehicle using stop sticks on Route 2 in East Hartford and reducing the car’s speed to 35-40 mph.  The vehicle traveled onto Interstate 91 where it attempted to strike several involved Troopers and ultimately struck one cruiser.

The accused’s vehicle was brought to a stop on I-91 Northbound, north of exit 33. The accused, Seth Victor (DOB:12/10/72) of 46 Dix Ave., New Britain, was combative.
