                     TROOPERS ARREST DRIVER WHO EVADEDAN ACCIDENT

                                ANDHIT A STATE POLICE CRUISER

On 10/25/10 at 2:16 p.m. Connecticut State Trooper Mary Muzzulin was injured while seated in her cruiser on I-91. As she was protecting a disabled vehicle, her cruiser was struck by a vehicle being operated by Jonathan Petrosky who was evading a prior motor vehicle collision about 100 yards prior to striking the Trooper’s cruiser.

The accident investigation was conducted by State Police accident investigators who were assisted by State Police Accident Reconstruction Troopers.  The investigation determined facts and information that caused the investigating Trooper to submit an arrest warrant application to Superior Court GA #7 in Meriden for the arrest of the accused.  On 11/29/10, the arrest warrant was issued by the court.

         At approximately 7:00 p.m., the accused Jonathan Petrosky was taken into custody in Meriden. Accused Petrosky was transported by Troopers to Troop I in Bethany where he was processed and held on $10,000 court set bond.

CHARGES:     Driving Under the Influence

                   Failing to Drive in the Established Lanes

                   Failing to Move Over for Emergency Vehicle

         The accused was held and will be arraigned today 11/30/10 at Superior Court GA #7 in Meriden.
