Over 1,000 Marijuana Plants Seized In Cultivation Raid

On August 9, 2010, the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Force (SNTF) obtained information of a large- scale outdoor marijuana grow being operated at 41 Raymond Schoolhouse Road, Canterbury.  The property included a residential home, a large two-story barn and a green house.  Members of SNTF responded and found the below listed accused working together erecting the green house on the property which was being utilized to grow marijuana.  It was also discovered that the home and barn had been converted into a sophisticated marijuana grow operation with each area/room functioning for various stages of the cultivation process.  This investigation continues.

Seized:               1,102 marijuana plants in various growth stages

                           $1,600 US currency

                           Numerous items of equipment utilized in the cultivation process

                             Cultivation of Marijuana WITS over one kilo

                             Operating a Drug Factory

                              Conspiracy to Commit Cultivation of Marijuana WITS over one

                              kilo

TOTAL BOND:      $150,000.00
