NEW EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
TO BE UNVEILED AT PRESS CONFERENCE MONDAY

“We can’t notify you if you don’t sign up!”

Law enforcement and public health officials will unveil the nation’s first statewide emergency notification system during a press conference. The system, CT Alert, will allow citizens to receive critical information before, during and after emergencies.

Every Connecticut citizen is strongly encouraged to sign up for CT Alert to receive the notifications from public safety officials.  Sign up and information can be sent via cell phone, home phone, fax, text message, pager and more.

Details on how the CT Alert system works will be revealed at the press conference.
