                   STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

   On Thursday 05-15-2008 at about 6:00 p.m. the parents of a five-year–old child contacted State Police Troop-K Colchester via phone to report a suspicious incident. The parents reported thatthe child had claimed that she had been given a ride from her home located on Brighton Road in Hebron to a nearby residential neighborhood. The child was spotted by citizens in the adjoining neighborhood who contacted the parents.

   State Troopers responded to the area and initiated a search for a possible suspect vehicle. State Police Major Crime Detectives also responded to conduct an investigation into this incident.

 

   According to the five-year-old victim, she was playing in her neighborhood when an older white male with white hair and a white moustache asked her to get into his blue car. The victim got into the car and was driven about one-half of one mile from her home toan adjoining residential neighborhood where the male suspect dropped her off .

   The victim was not injured. State Police Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Unit responded to the scene to investigate. State Police Detectives are currently following on multiple leads.
